DETECTION OF AIRBORNE PATHOGENS

Developing a point-of-need aerosol mass spectrometer for detection of airborne pathogens in hospitals, workplaces and residential communities. Hospital-associated infections are a major threat to patient safety. They are often caused by airborne pathogens. Similarly, airborne pathogens are a significant threat to students living in residential communities, and people residing in communal housing. A rapid and onsite detection of these pathogens is highly desirable.
